About RV Garage Plans & Camper or Motorhome Storage...
Detached garage plans designed to accommodate an RV or motor home are considered to be RV garage plans. If you’ve invested in a recreational vehicle, you’ll soon realize it is best to store your RV in a safe place when you’re not on the road. RV garage plans are specifically designed to protect your investment and keep it in good condition. They feature a least one garage bay that is taller, wider and deeper than a typical bay allowing it to accommodate the size and mass of an RV, motor home, travel trailer or camper. The oversized garage bay is also well-suited for storing boats and trailers, and other oversized vehicles. With its tall ceilings, some mechanics might find that an RV garage provides the perfect plans to install an auto lift for car maintenance. RV garage plans share similar features with Drive-Thru Garage Plans and Boat Storage Garages.
An RV garage will extend the life of your investment when you’re not on the road by protecting if from extreme temperatures and the elements such as ice, snow, hail and wind. Additionally, parking your RV or boat in a sheltered space will limit the upkeep and maintenance while reducing depreciation value. Some RV garage plans offer a drive-thru bay. This concept includes an overhead garage door at the front and rear of the bay creating a convenient drive-thru feature that eliminates the hassle of backing your motor home or boat trailer in or out of the garage. Instead, you can simply pull straight through it. RV garage plans are available in a variety or architectural styles and sizes ensuring you’ll find the right one that meets your needs and blends with your home. Additionally, many have more to offer than a single RV bay. Most include an attached garage for parking everyday vehicles while others include a workshop, half bath, loft, apartment, or extra room for an ATV or motorcycle. Ranging from a single RV bay to an elaborate design that incorporates standard parking bays and/or finished living space, it is easy to find the right RV garage plan to satisfy your personal needs and tastes.
