Last month The Garage Plan Shop posted our blog, “Is Your Garage the Ultimate Man Cave?” This is a follow up to that blog. ChangeofAddress.org recently posted a list of resources to help you create your very own Man Cave. The list includes fun and interesting sites that are sure to help you create a “guy space” where you can kick back and relax by yourself or hang with the guys whether it is a room in the basement, a bonus room upstairs or in the garage. So what are you waiting for? It is time to get started!

We are hearing the term used more and more….”man cave”.
“Just what is a man cave?” you ask. It is a designated area of the home such as the garage, a workshop, a room in the basement, or a bonus room, where a guy can go to be alone or socialize with friends without disturbing the rest of the house.
Man caves are used for a variety of activities from plain ole relaxing to holding poker parties with buddies and having a cold one with friends while watching the big game. Big TVs, state-of-the-art sound systems, comfortable seating, wet bars and refrigerators are often part of the man cave set-up. These spaces can be decorated (or cluttered up depending on how you look at it) with anything from sports memorabilia and Star Trek posters to tools, scrap lumber, auto parts and beer cans. Now that it’s football season, there is no doubt some men will be spending extra time in the their man caves with the guys.
Do you have a man cave? Wouldn’t it be great if you did? A detached garage plan, such as a garage loft plan, would be perfect for a man cave. You’ll have additional parking and storage on the main level, while the loft can easily be finished to accommodate your man cave! Take some time to out photos and a video of some of St. Louis’s ultimate man caves to get some ideas.
